Where Did That Ice Cream Cake Come From?
I just realized the main reason I rarely update this page is that I just have too much to write, and I'm somewhat daunted by the prospect of trying to type everything. So I decided I'm not going to do that. I'm just going to highlight a few events from the last couple of weeks and call it good. I guess this is better than nothing.
To begin with, the impetus for this whole post is that I just discovered I still have half of an ice cream cake in my freezer. It has been a big mystery for the last day or so. Okay, just for the last few minutes actually. For the life of me I couldn't remember why it was there. I remembered buying it, but the occasion was just escaping me. It wasn't anyone's birthday, so why do I have a cake in my freezer?
Then I remembered...STEVE! Steve was out here to visit a couple of weeks ago, and one day we decided we felt like eating ice cream cake. Now he's back in Chicago, leaving me to eat the rest of it by myself. Boo Steve, yay cake.

Mom and Dad came out to visit shortly after Steve, so we all drove up to San Francisco for the week. For some strange reason they let me out of work, so it was great to get out of LA for a while and spend some time with everyone.

We even had some time to hang around LA before steve flew out, so we wandered around and eventually ended up at "the best" seafood place ever. Look, they shape your leftovers into little tin foil animals!

There are many more great pictures and stories to go along with these, but I've recently decided (along with Andy and a few others) that April will be "National Novel Writing Month" part II (time to finish that project I gave up on during part 1). I better get writing--I'm already one day behind.

Good luck writing this month! Is the whale still there or did you eat it?
Great pictures - especially the one with Bill and Deb with the GG Bridge in the background.
I think Mom and dad ate the whale. Otherwise it's probably not good anymore...
Let's get writing!! I, too, want to work more on August's "novel."
I think I went to that same restaurant. Gladstone's in Malibu? We saw Diane Keaton there.
Thanks for the blog; I always enjoy hearing from you!
Yes, that is Gladstones in Malibu, but unfortunately we didn't see Diane there.
And yes, it's time to get writing. I've fallen behind already, but as long as I'm moving forward I won't feel too badly about it!
